The Confidence Collective: Confidence Starts with You
Feb 17, 2025
If you haven’t read Part One, I highly encourage you to check it out! It lays the foundation for shifting your mindset in a way that allows confidence to become second nature. But today, we’re taking it a step further—because confidence isn’t just a mindset; it’s a practice.
Confidence Isn’t Given—It’s Built
So many women wait for confidence to show up—like it’s something you unlock once you’ve hit a milestone or accomplished enough. But real confidence doesn’t come from external validation or a certain level of success. It starts with you. It starts the moment you decide to trust yourself, to show up fully, and to take action even when you’re unsure.
Think about a time when you felt truly confident. What led to that moment? Chances are, it wasn’t because someone gave you confidence. It was because you did something that made you feel confident—whether that was preparing for a big meeting, following through on a commitment, or stepping out of your comfort zone.
The Power of Quiet Confidence
We often associate confidence with being the loudest voice in the room, but true confidence doesn’t need to shout. It’s the quiet, steady belief that you belong—whether in business, motherhood, or any area of your life. It’s knowing that you don’t have to prove your worth; you simply have to own it.
This is especially powerful for women who are introverted, prefer depth over noise, and want to grow in a way that feels aligned instead of exhausting. Confidence doesn’t mean changing who you are—it means embracing who you already are and letting that be enough.
Three Ways to Cultivate Confidence Daily
If confidence is built through action, here are three things you can start doing today to strengthen it:
-
Keep Promises to Yourself
Confidence grows when you trust yourself. Every time you follow through—whether it’s waking up early, posting that video, or showing up for your business—you reinforce the belief that you can rely on yourself. -
Shift Your Inner Dialogue
Pay attention to how you talk to yourself. Would you say those words to a friend? Replace self-doubt with self-coaching. Instead of “I’m not good at this,” try “I’m learning, and every step is progress.” -
Take Action Before You Feel Ready
Confidence doesn’t come before action—it comes from action. The more you step into discomfort, the more you prove to yourself that you can handle it. You don’t need to feel fearless to show up—you just need to start.
Your Confidence, Your Way
At the end of the day, confidence is personal. It’s not about fitting into someone else’s version of success—it’s about owning yours. And that starts with believing in yourself before anyone else does.
